Movement Facilitation Sling Assessment - NSCA Approved 1.4 CEU

The human body has a strong capacity to heal, and it is the health care/fitness providers' job to help facilitate that capability. This course lays the foundation of how to tackle assessment, and uses the most fundamental movements - respiration and gait - as guiding references.

About the Event

Course Description:

Assessment is an evaluation of the ability of the clients. Movement such as breathing, walking, pushing, pulling, and rotating, which are considered as inherent human movement ability is not usually focused in clinical or orthopedic assessment. The course teaches practitioners/fitness professionals how to assess the human body in ways that can be relatable to day to day activities for the client and better assist the health provider in identifying movement inefficiencies. When it comes to creating a proper treatment plan or corrective exercise program, being able to prioritize basic fundamental movement deviations is crucial in facilitating movement capacity. The course will focus on the assessment for respiration, and gait via the 5 subsystems of the body (core, deep longitudinal sling, posterior oblique sling, anterior oblique sling, and the lateral sling).

Learning Objectives:

- Improve decision making skills when performing assessment

- Identify variables that affect assessment protocol

- Critically analyze physiological deviations from ideal functional standards

- Have a direction on how to approach the identification of the source of the problem

Day 1:
